NurtureFirst’s work started in Kenya, where a dedicated team has conducted a rigorous systems mapping exercise in Mombasa, Kisumu, and Murang’a counties. The team held site visits, interviews, and focus groups with parents and HBCC providers to understand the current context and key challenges. Based on these learnings, NurtureFirst established strategic partnerships with national and county governments, as well as local Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), to design and deliver learning interventions at scale.
